I’M GLAD YOU STOPPED BY.

NOW, STAY A WHILE.

I’m Lauren.

But you can call me Lo.

I started this blog site nearly seven years ago, in hopes it’d help me heal. It has.

Now, I’m on to finishing my first book, 628: A MEMOIR, which will be in your hands soon.

I’d like to take a second and talk about my current situation. Most people have wondered why I stopped writing/releasing poems. Well, I found out I was pregnant with my miracle baby, back in August of 2021. Then, my handsome boy, Bear, made his arrival in April of 2022. It’s been a tough road to navigate, as I am continuing to venture on this journey alone. I had to stop writing for a while, and truly focus on my mental well-being, for the sake of my child. My writing drive seems to come in spontaneously. Perhaps it’s because I am in a recurring state of writer’s block, or my hands are simply full and life is quite the adventure (we’ll go with the latter). I’m proud of myself for the choices I’ve made, and the ones I will continue to make. Thank you to the strangers who have continued to send me notifications of likes on old poems. Each one is a pick-me-up like no other. I am forever grateful to my readers, my supporters.

Now, back to my original introductory post:

Scattered throughout this site you’ll find poetry, song lyrics, and intimate reflections on my past. It’s all purposefully written with words that drift you from reality. My book, however, will be explicitly detailed to help you better understand these blog posts. I hope you find what you’re looking for, and that any of these words on this site resonate with you.

I stand by raising awareness to any and all mental health challenges we, including myself, face in the world today.

Take care of yourself, and I’ll strive to do the same.

Cheers,

Lo
